We offer a comprehensive academic program, including subjects such as Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and more, fully aligned with the Alberta curriculum. Additionally, we offer Islamic Studies, Quranic Arabic, and Arabic Language Learning as part of our curriculum to ensure students’ spiritual and intellectual growth.

For the 2025/ 26 school year, Green Dome Islamic School will serve students from Kindergarten through Grade 7, offering a well-rounded education that emphasizes both academic excellence and Islamic character development.

Our Arabic Language Learning Program focuses on teaching Quranic Arabic, which helps students engage directly with the Quran. Students learn to read, understand, and memorize the Quran with correct Tajweed, beginning from Kindergarten through Grade 7, in addition to developing their speaking and vocabulary skills.

At Green Dome, we prioritize the use of technology to enhance learning. Students will have access to mobile Chromebook carts.  Our classrooms are equipped with interactive teaching tools, such as projectors and large-screen TVs, to support a dynamic, student-centered learning environment.

In addition to providing academic excellence, Green Dome focuses on fostering exemplary character through the teachings of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Our Islamic Studies program emphasizes character development, ethics, and personal growth, guiding students to become compassionate, respectful, and responsible individuals.

Our Quranic studies program is comprehensive, beginning with the learning of Tajweed and Quran memorization in the early grades. Students are placed in smaller groups to memorize Quranic verses at their own pace, and from Grade 5 onwards, they participate in a Quranic Arabic program to develop a deeper understanding of the text.

Without parent volunteers, many field trips would not be possible. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the following steps. Your support is greatly appreciated!

There are 2 ways to show your support :

• To volunteer at Green Dome Islamic School, you must first provide a recent Police Record Check. To obtain one, please contact the front office to receive a letter that allows you to get the Record Check at a reduced fee. This is a mandatory step in accordance with school policies and provincial regulations.

Additionally, please complete the Green Dome Islamic School Volunteer Form (linked—please download, complete, and send back to greendome.islamicschool@plrd.ab.ca).
